Abstract
Forest categorization is the basic attribute for management in forests. In the current forest categorization in the Czech Republic, according to forest law, concrete influences (respectively restriction) on management in frame of individual categories and subcategories are possible to assume, which is reflected for example in costs and reached revenues. This reality is expressed in economic results of forest owners as well as in the economics of potential subsequent entrepreneurial subjects in the forestry. Also economic and legal relations play a significant role in forest categorization.
