The paper addresses the issue of nozzle influencing experiments on specified doses at spraying during the sanitation of spruce bark beetle infested wood, and at the same time the amount of overspray is taken into consideration. Many types of nozzles can be used when spraying bark wood. The most frequently used types were selected for the tests. In the experiment, the tests were performed on 1 m long samples, which measured both the amount/dose required to treat the section and the amount of spray liquid that did not reach the target section (overspray). These characteristics were evaluated and later assessed separately and in relation to one another. Both of these characteristics are important from the economic and environmental point of view. As emerged from the experiments with commonly available nozzles, the most effective is the use of HYPRO Polijet ANZ 4. However, when deciding which nozzle to apply, it is possible to prefer information about the used dose and overspray separately.
