European beech has a high acclimatization potential to the consequences of ongoing environmental changes

Comparative analyses of stomatal and morphological characteristics of European beech leaves have verified that this tree species has the ability to significantly adapt to extreme climatic changes of the environment. The results of comparative analyses also suggest that beech has a so-called stress memory.
