Description of project

The main aim of this project is to verify and innovate currently used control and defensive measures (trap trees with and without branches, standing, insecticide treated trap trees and tripod trap logs, pheromone traps, insecticide nets), economically significant species of spruce and larch bark beetles (Ips typographus, I. duplicatus, P. chalcographus, I. cembrae) in basic population conditions and outbreak. Optimize the calamity base to increase the effectiveness of the control and defence measures implemented. To develop certified methodologies and submit a draft of the state technical standard for the control of calamitous and economically important bark beetles of spruce and larch.
