Abstract
The main task of this paper is the field research investigation realized on the provenance plot of the Forestry and Game Management Research Institute (FGMRI) No. 143 – Praha-Radotín (Central Bohemia, Czech Republic) at the age of 18 years. The basic mensurational parameters as height and breast height diameter growth, forking, thickness and angle of the main branches were measured and statistical processing of the data was carried out. On the provenance plot, 23 domestic and 2 German provenances were planted. Evaluation of both qualitative and quantitative characteristics revealed the best characteristics in provenances 4 – Karlovice, S5 – Brumov, Svatý Štěpán, 10 – Buchlovice, Staré Hutě, 14 – Konopiště, Komorní Hrádek, Studený, 15 – Konopiště, Komorní Hrádek, 21 – Cunnersdorf a 22 – Český Krumlov, Chvalšiny. The worst results were obtained in provenances 8 – Janov, Načetín, Kühnhaide, 28 – Lužná, U Tří stolů, 25 – Kladská, Lázně Kynžvart and S2 – Hluboká nad Vltavou, Poněšice 2.
