Description of project
The main goal of this project is to solve complexly the issue of safety-keeping vegetatively multiplicated plants in ultra-low temperatures under new developing effective biotechnologic methods used in cryopreservation for important vegetatively multiplicated crops and forest tree species in the Czech Republic. Simultaneously it is effort to develop new methods used to store selected items at the National Bank of explants of forest trees and Czech cryobank of crops including securing of collections through „safe duplicate“ also for European Accession recognition. Newly develop methods will be used for preservation of biodiversity agricultural crops within National Program of conservation and utilization of plant genetic resources and agro-biodiversity, and for cryopreservation of forest trees within National Program of security and reproduction through genefond of forest tree species.
