Description of project
Genetic diverzity of elm relic populations in selected regions of the CR will be determinated on the basis of DNA analyses. The aims are focused to completion of the gene bank explants by elms clones with suitable gene profiles, too. Results of the project will be utilized for evaluation of present day in situ elms populations and their optimalitization of repeoduction for maintenance and renewal of elm gene sources. Technologies of DNA determination elaborated during the project solution will serve for better definition of contemporary clonal archives in situ and seed orchards.
