Abstract
The grant policy of the forestry sector in the Czech Republic (CR) is fragmented into various providers and it is also subsidized from different sources. This fact leads to the situation, when forest owners in different parts of the country are assessed by various subsidy policies. As the cause of this situation, the transfer of subsidies from the Ministry of Agriculture to regions could be supposed. The main goal of the paper is to define and quantify the sources for financing the subsidy policy of the forestry sector from the only one State Forestry Fund (SFF). Foundation of the SFF is possible on condition that no additional demands on the state budget would be raised. Another necessary fact within the foundation of the SFF is to cover the most important support programs of the forestry sector, such as financial contributions to the forest, mandatory costs of the Forest Act and services for forest owners, eventually support of genetic resources on the basis of the National Programme of Genetic Resources.
