Abstract
Experimental series at Planá was founded in forest region 11 – the Český les Mts. in 1969 in 67-year old Norway spruce stands as the parts of the fourth group of thinning series. The series consists of three comparative plots with dimensions 50 m x 50 m, i. E. 0.25 ha each. Comparative plots 1k are control plots without designed thinning; comparative plots 3p and 5p are the stands with thinning by negative selection from below (3p lower and 5p higher intensity). Presented paper is oriented on evaluation of basal area development, diameter structure and static stability of investigated stands during the 36-year period of observation.
