Impact of environment onto growth of ortets and their vegetative progenies was assessed at open experimental plots founded in 1989 to 2001. Generative ortet mixture was founded by seeds from Norway spruce selected trees of relative good health condition in extreme mountain site. Morphological characteristics were measured in ortet mixture and clone plantations in 2006. Results show better growth of progenies from ortets with intensive growth and good health conditions. Detail assessment of half-sib progeny show strong impact of actual growth conditions in individual clone plantations.
