A peer reviewed journal that publishes the results of research related to forest management, forest ecosystems and the public and economic significance of the forest and its conservation. It gathers information relating to forestry science and practice. The journal has been published since 1955 by the Forestry and Game Management Research Institute (FGMRI), Strnady – Prague.

Indexed in: Scopus, Elsevier Bibliographic Databases, Emerging Sources Citation Index (Web of Science), CAB Abstracts, Czech Agricultural and Food Bibliography.

The editors accept original scientific articles and short communications in Czech or Slovak with English abstracts, key words, summary and captions. Articles that focus on forestry history are also occasionally accepted as well as reviews based on analysis of the literature.

Periodicity:

The journal is published on a quarterly basis.

Until 2011, “Reports of Forestry Research Special“ containing conference proceedings or papers written by scientists who come from one institution other than the FGMRI was released once a year.
