Abstract
This article deals with the issue of forest dendromass suitable and secondarily suitable for energy utilization in the territory of the Czech Republic (CR). The article analyses the methods of calculating the volume of forest dendromass suitable for the territory of the CR, which have been elaborated so far, and existing studies connected with this topic. The results of this analysis are compared to the objectives set by the current Government Energy Policy for the Czech Republic and the actual values achieved in the year 2005. The assessment of the potential of forest dendromass suitable and secondarily suitable for energy utilization and the limit share of dendromass in the planned energy coverage from renewable resources is based on the evaluation of analysed data.
