The Jizerka experimental plot was established to investigate prosperity of ca 30 tree species under conditions of formerly air-polluted mountainous site, the Jizera Mts., northern Bohemia. Tree species perform dependence on their vigor, inherited abilities and response to environmental conditions. Among all properties of the site, climate is a principal factor influencing both growth rate and survival of the tree species. Therefore, meteorological conditions have been investigated since 1993 within the experiment which was established in 1990. Since 1996, climatic characteristics have been investigated using automatic loggers. Mean annual temperature was 5.0°C between 1997 and 2010. The temperature was higher compared to expected range of values in literature. As for wind conditions we found that increasing height of trees slowed down wind speed. Annual value of global radiation was 3894 MJ.m-2 and both duration and intensity of solar radiation were comparable with values recorded by stations being operated by the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute. The results of the temperature, wind and radiation monitoring published here are connected with the precipitation and soil humidity monitoring published as the first part of climatic conditions in the Jizerka experimental plot (BALCAR et al. 2012).
