Abstrakt
The Eurasian spruce bark beetle Dendroctonus micans is a major pest of spruce, which is expanding its range mainly in Turkey, Georgia, England and France. Pathogens and predators are the main tool for biological control program of this pest. Now there is good evidence that predator Rhizophagus grandis is established in Turkey and other countries and is important in regulation of D. micans abundance. There are several ways to use entomopathogenic algae Helicospordium sp. as biological control agents, but it is necessary to explain the possibility of transmission between R. grandis and D. micans.
