In 1981 the samples of forest floor and mineral soil from probes were taken on the fully forested research catchments Červík and Malá Ráztoka in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts. established in 1953 for studying impact of stands felling and replacement of woody species composition on throughfall and runoff regime. Chemical properties of soil were evaluated by leach of 1% citric acid and available nutrients were determined. Since 1989 leaches of 1M NH4Cl have been used for determination of exchangeable cations. In 1983, 1985 and 1987 application of dolomitic limestone was repeated on the catchment Malá Ráztoka in the amount of 3 t/ha which influences pH increment and content of Ca and Mg in forest floor and surface horizon of mineral soil. On catchment Červík this chemistry of humus and surface horizon of mineral soil was influenced by changes in the status of forest stands (arising of cuttings, canopy of plantings). During investigation contents of available and exchangeable cations decreased in mineral soil of evaluated catchment. Saturation degree of adsorption soil complex (BS) does not reach 5% on catchment Červík and 10% on catchment Malá Ráztoka. Content of available P dropped to very low values.
