Several methods of Cephalcia sp. adults catching (Malaise trap, 10 yellow sticky boards, 10 yellow buckets, 10 sticky strips on trees, tree band trap) were compared with density of nymphs in soil (ten 50 x 50 cm soil pits) in eight localities (mature spruce stands in the Moravskoslezské Beskydy Mts., Slavkovský les Mts. and Český les Mts.). Totally 39, 111 specimens of six Cephalcia species (C. abietis, C. arvensis, C. alashanica, C. alpina, C. annulicornis, C. erythrogaster) were found using Malaise traps. In majority of cases, there was not any statistically significant correlation between Cephalcia abietis catches in Malaise traps, and Cephalcia sp. catches yellow sticky boards, yellow pans, tree band traps, sticky bands and the number of pro-nymphs in springs as well as totally between catches of adults and the number of nymphs in both spring and autumn. Statistically significant correlation was confirmed only between the female catch numbers in tree band trap and nymph densities in soil in autumn.
