Abstrakt
The changes that have taken place within the landscape brought back an old problem – a conflict between farmers and the growing population of deer game. This study quantifies the damage caused by the deer game on the agriculture, using various inventory methods. A methodology of description and quantification of damage of cultures up to 100 cm of height and a methodology of localization of damage on cultures over 50─100 cm were studied. The technical aids used for the study were aerial and satelite imagery and field measurements. The data from damage commissions (Charvát, Mikulka 2000) were taken as reference. Further mathematic and statistic evaluation of the factors initiated by the game damage was executed. The forest density of the landscape, frequency of agricultural units, farming products, hunting and other factors within the landscape were considered.
