Abstrakt

The way of ensuring forest and riparian stands management is given by the holding size class and character of owned property. In forest management it is necessary to comply with a special management regime, especially with regard to the forest category and size class of the holding. Riparian stands are particularly specific for their uniqueness, linear progress, and economical purpose. Obviously, there is the impact of the current Czech legislation. The purpose of the paper is to present basic features that are decisive for differentiation of particular holding class as well as results of the analysis of the fundamental operation costs for afforestation or establishment of new plantations on forest areas different in size, on watercourse areas and reservoirs. In order to pursue the assessment of costs many respondents were addressed: forest owners, tenants, companies that provide services related to forest and riparian stands such as Lesy České republiky, s. p. (Forests of the Czech Republic, state enterprise), Povodí Labe, s. p. (Elbe River Board, state enterprise), municipal forests, legal entities and natural persons. Decisive time for the assessment of costs related to forest stands establishment covered the period from 2008 – 2010. The main objective of the paper was to evaluate the impact of the holding size class and character of owned property on the costs invested on establishment of new plantations.
